Three M's

Minimize – (purge, recycle or donate)

Maximize – (the way you use your space)

Maintain – (continue to implement the first 2 points)

Example cleaning schedule for your work place

Monday: Wipe down desk, phone, keyboard and back of your computer. Respond to and clear out voicemails. Check supplies.

Tuesday: Look through binders and hanging files to see what needs to be labeled, what can be stored electronically and what can be shredded.

Wednesday: (you get the idea!)

Remember, the important part is to plan your work and work your plan! The main thing is to have a system in place and stick to it. If it doesn’t work for you, reassess your situation and implement another plan.
